when i’m at an airport bookstore i like to check if they have gay magazines, like ‘the advocate,’ and when i’m at a hotel i like to see if their ‘adult movies’ section has gay porn; when i do this i judge the area i’m in about their conservatism…as if that’s a real measure of ‘progress’
